Rihanna is the first artist to have 100 million song awards, according to the RIAA.
"Not 1 but 2 @Rihanna milestones: 1st artist in Gold & Platinum history to earn 100M song awards & #ANTI is #Platinum," the RIAA writes on Twitter with an image of Rihanna receiving plaques for ANTI's platinum award and the 100 Million milestone.
The singer thanks her fans for their support of her eighth studio album and her decade-long career.
"Navy y’all did this i$h!!!" she says on Twitter. "FIRST & ONLY @RIAA certified with 100M song awards & #ANTI is PLATINUM!! Thank you for the love!"
ANTI was certified platinum within 15 hours of its release to TIDAL. The RIAA recognized one million albums sold, but Billboard declined to include the TIDAL purchases because Samsung bought copies of the album to give away.
The album debuted at the #27 spot on the Top 200 albums chart with only 460 album sales. The project landed at #1 the next week with 166,322 album equivalent units sold and more than 14 million streams.
The lead single for ANTI is "Work" with Drake.
