A lot has happened between Chris Brown and Kevin McCall since the success of C-Breezy’s “Deuces” single, which popped off in 2010.
In the public arena, McCall took to Twitter in March to ask for a business meeting with Brown and request off his label, but things went sour.
McCall appears on “Hollywood Unlocked” to share his side of the story and how he ended up in a bad deal with Chris Brown Entertainment. He admits he “took the business too personal,” but doesn’t let the Virginia singer off the hook.

“He got on that bullshit, yeah, yeah,” he sings, referencing “No Bullshit.” “To make the long story short, paperwork wasn’t legit and I kinda blame that on myself. I kinda have to change the narration that I’ve been giving. It’s not a ‘woe is me’ story. I signed it, but at the same time, it would be like me bringing my partner in here and saying, ‘Look, you trust me, right? Sign this.’ That’s kinda what happened.”
The Los Angeles singer-songwriter is asked about Brown’s alleged gang ties. McCall isn’t amused by anyone glorifying gangs when he has been confronted with the reality of street violence without having a choice in the matter.
“You gotta pay to play. I guess they’re paying to do something,” he says of rappers like Breezy, who claims he’s affiliated with the Bloods. “When you get homeboys that get shot and you get guns put on you this week and you get daughters, two daughters, the shit ain’t cute. It’s stupid.”
